China’s Winter–Spring Flight Schedule Brings More Options for International Visitors

Updated October 26, 2026 · SEEK CHINA TRAVEL

China’s 2026–2027 winter–spring flight schedule took effect on October 25, 2026, and will run through March 27, 2027. For international visitors planning a trip during this period, the new schedule brings additional flight options alongside changes to departure times and operating days.

According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, airlines plan to operate 16,654 international passenger flights per week, connecting China with 84 countries. Passenger flight volumes between China and 15 major inbound tourism markets, including Singapore and Malaysia, are scheduled to increase by 14.4% compared with the previous winter–spring season. www.caac.gov.cn

What Does This Mean for Your China Trip?

Additional services may give travelers more flexibility when comparing arrival cities and travel dates.

If you are visiting several destinations, consider checking international flights before deciding your route. Flying into one Chinese city and departing from another may help reduce backtracking, depending on flight availability and your itinerary.

Scheduled capacity does not guarantee lower fares or daily service on every route. Prices, operating days, and available seats should always be checked for your specific dates.

Three Things to Check Before Traveling

Confirm your latest flight details. Review departure and arrival times, airports, and terminals, even if your tickets were booked before the seasonal change.

Check overnight arrival dates. A “+1” beside the arrival time means the flight lands the following day. Make sure your airport transfer and hotel reservation match your actual arrival.

Allow time for onward connections. Immigration, baggage collection, and transfers between airports or railway stations should be considered before booking domestic travel.

SEEK CHINA TRAVEL can help coordinate your airport transfers, accommodation, and sightseeing around your confirmed flights.
